Job Title: Electrical Systems Designer

As an Electrical Systems Designer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and efficient 2D drawings of electrical systems for industrial facilities. Your tasks will include developing single line diagrams, equipment layouts, hazardous area classifications, interconnection and hook-up drawings, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings of electrical systems, including power systems, electrical equipment layout, and hazardous area classification drawings.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure clash-free system design.
  • Support senior engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
  • Work independently on CAD projects, executing them within agreed schedules and budgets.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong foundation in electrical engineering or ITI, 3-5 years of relevant experience, excellent knowledge of electrical design and detailing, effective communication skills, and proficiency in 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Navisworks. You should also be able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
