Electrical Designer Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for developing 3D models and 2D drawings of various electrical systems for industrial facilities.

  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of electrical systems, including single line diagrams, electrical equipment layouts, hazardous area classification drawings, interconnection and hook-up drawings, lighting, grounding and lightning protection systems.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and stakeholders to develop a clash-free system design.
  • Manage assigned scope within agreed schedule, budget, and quality norms.
  • Assist more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables for the discipline.
  • Train new staff members on various tools and discipline practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI/NCTVT Electrical.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of basic technical theory and engineering principles within electrical discipline.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles for basic design analyses within discipline.
  • Understanding of input requirements to perform various discipline tasks.

Others:

  • Experience with 3D engineering tools like AutoCAD Plant 3D, REVIT, Navisworks, AutoCAD 2D, and Microstation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools - MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, OneNote.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
