Software Quality Assurance Specialist

A software quality assurance specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in software applications. This role requires a strong understanding of software development life cycles and the ability to analyze complex systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve automated test coverage using industry-standard tools such as Selenium and Cypress
  • Provide guidance to the engineering team on their test automation program, focusing on best practices and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to develop specification and test plans that meet business requirements
Key Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of experience in QA automation, particularly with SaaS platforms
  • Extensive knowledge of automated test tools, including Selenium, Cypress, and other relevant technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • In-depth knowledge of web technologies, including JavaScript, AJAX, HTML5, and CSS
  • Experience with bug/defect tracking tools such as Jira, Redmine, Bugzilla, and other relevant systems
  • Proficiency in Git or other source control management tools
  • Familiarity with Linux and bash scripting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a software-related field, such as computer science or information technology
  • Familiarity with Ruby and testing frameworks for Ruby on Rails applications
  • Experience with AI-driven automation tools and techniques
