Enterprise Data Governance Specialist

Effective data governance is a crucial component of enterprise information management, ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of data throughout its lifecycle. As an Enterprise Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in building and supporting tools and technology required to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.

The Enterprise Data Governance Specialist will implement data governance programs using tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation to enable data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage. You will develop business glossaries and data dictionaries to facilitate understanding and searchability of data for business users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement custom integrations between data governance tools and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support the migration of data from existing sources like SharePoint and Excel to a data governance tool.
  • Implement workflow management systems to optimize, improve, and automate data governance workflows.
  • Track, investigate, and correct data quality issues in a data governance tool and set up data quality rules for validation and standardization.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in data management and related fields.
  • Hands-on experience with data governance tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices and approaches related to data protection.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills and change management concepts.
