Job Summary:

An Orthopedic Assistant plays a vital role in supporting Orthopedic Surgeons during surgical procedures, delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a seamless operating environment.

  • Assist Orthopedic Surgeons during surgeries, adhering to sterile techniques and maintaining a safe working area.
  • Prepare patients for surgery, explaining the procedure and any necessary preparations, alleviating anxiety and promoting a positive experience.
  • Conduct preoperative and postoperative checks on patients, monitoring their condition and reporting any concerns to the surgeon or nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring seamless communication with healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with other medical professionals, such as nurses and anesthesiologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal surgical outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in orthopedic medicine.

Key Qualifications:

To excel as an Orthopedic Assistant, you should possess:

  • A diploma in Orthopedic Assistantship or a related field.
  • 1-5 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in orthopedic surgery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
