Cloud Database Administrator Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Database Administrator to join our team. As a fresher, you will learn and assist in managing, monitoring, and optimizing databases hosted on cloud platforms.

This role involves:

  • Database Provisioning and Configuration: Responsible for setting up and configuring cloud-hosted databases.
  • Database Monitoring and Performance: Utilize cloud-native tools to monitor database performance and ensure optimal availability.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Implement robust data security measures, including backup and recovery processes.
  • Database Migration and Deployment: Migrate databases to the cloud from on-premises systems and deploy new databases as needed.
  • User Management and Access Control: Create users, roles, and permission policies for secure database access.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Resolve basic database issues and provide support to the development team.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings.
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals.
  • Awareness of database security best practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
