Job Title: Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Static Equipment Designer with expertise in Detailing and Drafting of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and other static equipment.

  • Experience in Detailing & Engineering Static Equipment (Storage Tanks / Pressure Vessels / columns / Reactors, Heat Exchangers).
  • Understanding and Executing Drafting as per Mechanical Datasheet, Project specification as per various National & International codes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., API 650/620, ASME Section VIII Div.1, TEMA, IS 2825, IS 803 etc).
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute day-to-day Engineering activities to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain project documents in a retrievable format.
  • E nsure completeness and accuracy of detailed engineering.
  • Coordinate drafting team efforts.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Projects, Piping, E & I, Civil) to ensure effective integration of static equipment in overall project design.
  • Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning of static equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience designing Storage Tanks, Pressure vessels, heat exchangers.
  • Real-time experience preparing equipment layouts, general arrangements, detail drawings for nozzles, tube sheets, supports, internals, attachments, platforms, ladders, staircases, BOQ/BOM for Pressure vessels/Heat exchangers as per Oil & Gas Industry Practices.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with AutoCAD and MS Excel, MS Word.
  • Experience with data sheets, specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for various engineering activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent with 5 years and above Real-time experience in oil and gas upstream/downstream projects.
