Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and implementing data warehouse and reporting solutions.

The role involves working with complex data sets, creating visualizations, and extracting insights that drive business growth. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data warehouse and reporting solutions using best practices.
  • Work with multiple data sources to create comprehensive data sets.
  • Develop data visualizations and reports using Power BI and other tools.
  • Collaborate with product management to prioritize technical debt remediation and refactoring of data structures and stored procedures.
  • Mentor junior team members in development practices and assist the engineering manager with design and architecture decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of strong experience with SQL Servers and relational databases.
  • Strong experience with querying and optimizing complex data sets.
  • Expertise in data visualization and reporting, including SSRS and Power BI.
  • Understanding of OLAP structures (single-layer DW / Kimball).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to self-organize, prioritize, and track tasks.
  • Experience with SSIS, ADF, or other ETL tools.
