Cloud API Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud API Engineer to join our team and take on a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure APIs within the Azure cloud environment.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development, particularly in .NET, and experience with Azure technologies such as Azure Data Engineers, Azure Blob Storage, and Microsoft Fabric.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RESTful APIs using designated programming languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between internal and external systems.
  • Develop integration pipelines to push/pull data from various sources.
  • Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms for external data providers and consumers.
  • Optimize API performance and implement proper exception handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Expert-level coding skills in RESTful API development in .NET.
  • Experience with Azure technologies, including Azure Data Engineers, Azure Blob Storage, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing API security and load balancing using Azure App Gateway, WAF, Network Security Groups, and DNS.
  • Proficiency in API versioning, throttling, routing, and caching strategy.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, PII handling, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications.
