Job Title: Java Engineer with Cloud Expertise


The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of experience in Java engineering, utilizing Java 8 or later in data-intensive environments. A solid understanding of networking, web technologies, and application security is required, including API-first mindset, REST, SOAP, API gateways/proxies, load balancing, web security, X509, OAuth.


System thinking and the ability to work in complex application landscapes are essential skills for this role. Experience with cloud architecture on Azure and application containerization is also necessary.


Attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus in challenging diverse solution landscapes are crucial for success. Good Linux skills, preferably RedHat, with RPM experience a plus, as well as hands-on experience with event-driven architecture.


Strong technical skills include:

  • Spring and Spring Boot
  • REST API implementation and design (OpenAPI / Swagger, Apigee)
  • IBM MQ and Kafka (Spring JMS)
  • CI/CD, Docker, Ansible, GitLab / Git, Maven build management
  • Relational databases such as Oracle/PostgreSQL and Liquibase
  • Azure Cloud services (especially AKS, WebApp, Postgres, AKV, Vnet)
