Job Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the efficient operation of infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with business objectives.

  • Create and implement an infrastructure strategy that aligns with organizational goals, encompassing on-premise data center management and cloud deployments.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of existing infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize system performance.
  • Procure software, hardware, and other IT supplies as approved by senior management.
  • Manage inventory of software licenses, hardware, and other IT assets.
  • Collaborate with senior management and peers to gain acceptance for alternate approaches.
  • Oversee outsourced teams responsible for daily operations and activities.
  • Provide solutions to complex business problems requiring in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Perform live disaster recovery activities and periodic drills.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  • Manage production incidents and ensure regulatory compliance.

Preferred Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as B Tech / BE / MCA / MBA

Experience:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in infrastructure management, including on-premise data centers and cloud infrastructures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Program and project management expertise.
  • Planning and executing infrastructure-related projects.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure components such as servers, storage, databases, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and networks.
  • Excellent understanding of cloud computing principles.

Functional Competencies:

  • Ability to perform infrastructure discovery assessments and develop transformation strategies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all data center functions, including production operations, change control, disaster recovery, helpdesk, systems management, and facilities.
  • Experience with private and public cloud architectures, including pros and cons, and migration consideration.

Other Considerations:

This role requires a strong ability to analyze complex situations, think critically, and develop effective solutions.
