Job Overview

The role of Financial Operations Analyst is a key position in our organization, requiring an individual who can maintain the general ledger with accuracy and timeliness. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Accounting inbox, coding vendor invoices, and preparing payroll reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process transactions through the system and prepare manual journal entries in QuickBooks.
  • Manage the daily flow of the Accounting inbox.
  • Code vendor invoices and schedule payments using BILL.
  • Review and analyze payroll reports from Justworks and prepare corresponding journal entries.
  • Process and record bank transactions.
  • Prepare customer invoicing and manage payments applications.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations for cash, prepaid, accruals, capital assets, and deferred revenue.
  • Understand and project cash timing differences between income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
  • Analyze general ledger data, payroll, revenue, and other data using Excel files.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Support annual tax preparation and GAAP audit processes.
  • Assist in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financials, analyzing trends and explaining variances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or similar qualification with 2-3 years' experience.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus; CPA or CA certification highly preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and experience applying generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Experience in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ZOHO, or similar systems is preferred.
