Senior Backend Developer Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to spearhead the development of our backend applications using Python and related frameworks.

  • This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and related technologies, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Backend Development: Develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Python, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
  2. API Design: Design and build RESTful APIs and microservices with FastAPI, ensuring seamless integration with front-end applications.
  3. Database Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and ClickHouse, leveraging their respective strengths.
  4. Data Pipeline Optimization: Build and optimize Big Data pipelines for high-performance applications, utilizing techniques such as data processing and analytics.
  5. Code Quality Assurance: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices, including unit testing and automated testing.
  6. Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Optimize performance, troubleshoot application issues, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  8. Automated Testing: Implement automated tests, unit testing, and ensure code quality, adhering to industry standards.
  9. Architectural Contributions: Contribute to architectural discussions and solution design, staying updated with emerging technologies and proposing technical improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Python Development Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Python development, with a focus on backend application development.
  • FastAPI Expertise: Proficiency in FastAPI framework, with experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.
  • Relational Database Knowledge: Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools, ensuring efficient data management.
  • Object-Oriented Programming Principles: Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, applied to real-world problems.
  • ClickHouse Analytics: Hands-on experience with ClickHouse for analytics and large-scale data processing, optimizing data pipelines.
  • Big Data Concepts: Familiarity with Big Data concepts, pipelines, and optimization techniques, enabling efficient data processing.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with Git and version control workflows, ensuring collaborative development.
  • Docker Experience: Experience with Docker and containerized applications, streamlining deployment and scaling.
  • Unit Testing Frameworks: Familiarity with unit testing frameworks like Pytest or unittest, ensuring robust testing.
  • Cloud Platform Knowledge: Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus, enabling flexibility and scalability.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Good problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, applied to complex technical challenges.
  • Effective Communication: Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment, fostering teamwork and innovation.
