Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions that meet our organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Develop and manage AWS cloud infrastructure according to best practices.
  • Develop Cloud-Based Solutions: Create scalable, secure, and robust cloud architectures using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
  • Automate Deployment and Management: Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform to automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud applications.
  • Implement Security Measures: Ensure security and compliance by implementing identity and access management (IAM), VPC security, and data protection best practices.
  • Monitor Performance and Troubleshoot Issues: Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
  • Collaborate with Development Teams: Work closely with development teams to set up CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment workflows.
  • Optimize Cloud Costs: Conduct regular cloud cost analysis and optimization to drive efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field, with a focus on AWS technologies.
  • Proficiency in AWS Services: Strong proficiency in AWS services and features, including but not limited to EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
  • Scripting and Programming Skills: Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python and Bash for automation tasks.
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnetting, NAT, VPN.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • DevOps Principles: Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD tools, and practices.
  • AWS Certification: AWS certification is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
