Job Opportunity: Cloud-Native Data Platform Architect

Description:

  • Design and communicate a clear strategy for data-driven business growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define priorities, solve complex challenges, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Leverage AWS services like S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and SageMaker to develop end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Implement cloud-native data storage, processing, and APIs using serverless architectures and AWS-native tools.
  • Apply fine-grained access control and secure data sharing across domains using AWS Lake Formation.
  • Architect multi-tenant, domain-oriented data lakes and integrate with Redshift Spectrum / Athena for distributed querying.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK) for provisioning and managing cloud resources.
  • Drive platform governance, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on secure coding practices, compliance, and architectural principles.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in platform engineering, data architect, data engineering, or solution architecture.
  • Strong expertise in building cloud-native platforms.
  • Proven track record in designing and managing multi-tenant systems on AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud, Big data and Analytics ecosystem (Airflow, Spark, Python, Flink, AWS Batch, S3, Athena, ECS-Fargate, SQS).
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Advanced skills in Terraform (IaC).
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
