About the Role:

Talentas is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development of our AS400/RPG applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM i/AS/400 platform, RPG IV/RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE concepts.

  • Experience with OMS, Inventory, WMS, and PO modules.
  • Strong command of RPG IV/RPG Free Format, CLLE, and ILE programming languages.
  • Deep understanding of DB2/400 – physical/logical files, SQL, journaling, triggers.
  • Expertise in debugging using STRDBG, job logs, and error analysis.
  • Familiarity with file-based integrations and data exchange formats (EDI, XML, CSV).
  • Proficiency in Change Management tools.
  • Understanding of business workflows in the supply chain or retail domain.
  • API development on IBM i using Open Access or web services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 12-20 years of experience on IBM i/AS/400 platform.
  • Experience in the retail domain.
  • Ability to create projects in a modular fashion and encourage re-use of code.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
