Operational Risk Management Specialist

This is a high-profile role that requires expertise in operational risk management for financial institutions. We are looking for an exceptional individual who can lead and manage projects across various aspects of operational risk, including internal control assessments, third-party risk management, incident management, and business continuity planning.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with GRC tools such as MetricStream and SAP GRC, and possess strong analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will need to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
  • A deep understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in operational risk management is also critical for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage independent projects related to operational risk management, including developing SOPs, policies, and procedures.
  • Review and validate existing frameworks, policies, and risk matrices for soundness and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement risk-based process reviews, internal controls, and compliance programs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify and address key operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing projects, with excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with GRC tools such as MetricStream and SAP GRC, and strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
