Job Title: Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled microbiologist to conduct various tests and analyses to ensure the quality of products and services.

  • Media Preparation:
    • Prepare media for culturing microorganisms.
  • To perform food and water swab tests:
    • Collect and analyze samples from food and water sources.
  • To perform pathogen testing:
    • Detect and identify pathogens in various samples.
  • Quality Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of laboratory results and experiments.
  • Maintain all work books registers and instrument logbooks and other relevant records up to date written in a specific approved format:
    • Ensure that all records are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Check and maintain stocks of chemicals, consumables and glassware:
    • Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
  • Carry out any other relevant work assigned from time to time by superiors:
    • Perform additional tasks as required to support the laboratory team.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct microbiological tests and analyses on various samples.
  • Document laboratory results and experiments accurately.
  • Maintain records and logs according to established procedures.
  • Control inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in microbiology laboratory settings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
