About Us:

We are a forward-thinking organization seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to lead our data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern unified data platforms and exposure to Azure Fabric.

About the Role:

This is a key position in our organization responsible for designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines. You will be working closely with architects and governance leads to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance. Your expertise in SQL, big data processing, and modern data platforms will drive our success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data engineering projects from inception to delivery.
  • Design and build data pipelines for structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes using SQL and modern big data frameworks.
  • Work with Modern Data Platforms to enable data integration, transformation, and analytics.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance.
  • Support performance tuning, monitoring, and automation of data workflows.
  • Contribute to assessments and adoption of new vendor/platform solutions.

Requirements:

  • Able to lead data engineering projects.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Solid understanding of big data processing concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Fabric.
  • Knowledge of data governance tools and data cataloguing concepts.
  • Exposure to DevOps/MLOps practices.
