Job Opportunity: Investment Risk Analyst

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Assist in the review of asset class risk reports and perform data analysis.
  • Conduct research on investment organizations to evaluate their risk exposure.
  • Monitor investment risk management policies, procedures, limits, and guidelines.
  • Perform statistical analysis to report, monitor, and manage various risk exposures.
  • Identify significant investment trends, risk profile evolution, and major risks across General Account asset classes.
Impact and Results
  • Contribute to investment risk analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Deliver timely and accurate investment risk reporting to inform TIAA's risk appetite.
  • Inform strategies to adjust TIAA's investment portfolio to minimize risk intensity and identify other risk attributes.
Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
  • Measure and manage investment risk at the portfolio, sector, and investment level.
  • Apply analytical techniques to assess risk and apply that in the risk reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of statistics and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and VBA programming languages.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and use light programming to manipulate data and integrate with IT systems.
