Power Systems Design Engineer

The role of this engineer is to bring innovation and thought leadership to end users, capturing expressed and unexpressed requirements through high-level discussions.

  • Convert those requirements into power systems architectures, emphasizing Schneider Electric catalogue strengths.
  • Support customers with high-level expertise in power systems, protection plans, HV, MV, LV, power automation, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with customers and partners to understand their key performance indicators, constraints, operation, roles, and responsibility.
  • Possess good knowledge on the process associated with heavy industries such as oil, gas, petrochemical, mining, metals industries.
Application Knowledge
  • Understand customer's industrial applications and provide technical material and segment inputs to EcoStruxure power solutions.
  • Maintain knowledge about green initiatives in the market, such as green H2.
Power Systems Expertise
  • Contribute to the definition of optimized and competitive HV, MV, LV power systems architecture based on Schneider Electric catalogue.
  • Build appropriate reference architectures, technical materials, and documentations to promote Schneider Electric solutions emphasizing differentiation and customer benefits.
Training Deployment
  • Collaborate with project leaders and segment leaders to define training plans.
  • Conduct F2F or webinar training sessions and lead technical topics.
Business Support
  • Deliver technical support to sales and execution teams upon request from the segment.
  • Engage customers at C-Level, influencing and convincing.

This role requires a strong understanding of power systems engineering, network simulation, protection, power electronics conversion, UPS DC Charger, power quality, reliability, and the ability to value engineer customer solutions.
