Job Profile:

We are seeking a seasoned Tax Associate with exceptional skills and expertise to lead our team in the Direct Tax practice area.

  • Structuring and Advisory Services
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for structuring and advising on deals from a tax perspective, including foreign exchange control, FEMA, domestic tax law, DTAAs, stamp duty, and other allied laws.
  • Drafting and Review of Deal Documents
  • The selected candidate will draft and review deal documents, including term sheets, loan agreements, SPAs, disclosures, BTA, merger scheme, reps, and warranties, etc.
  • India Entry/Exit Strategy Planning
  • With their expertise, we will conceptualize India entry/exit strategies, focusing on tax efficiency, commercial rationale, and favorable holding jurisdictions.
  • International Tax and FEMA Advisory Services
  • Our team will work closely with the candidate to provide advisory services on international tax issues, including PE, profit attribution, business connection, expat tax, ESOPs, indirect transfer, POEM, capital repatriation, royalty, FTS, broadcasting rights, tax transparent entities, etc.
  • Effective Tax Rate Planning Analysis
  • The candidate will conduct effective tax rate planning analysis for Indian promoter-held groups with 190+ entities.

The selected candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the team.
