About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Global Tax Professional to support our US-based multinational clients with various aspects of income tax compliance. As part of our global tax team at Cognizant, you will be responsible for assisting with quarterly and annual tax provision under ASC 740, preparing and reviewing U.S. quarterly estimated tax returns, and gathering data for U.S. consolidated tax returns. You will also conduct technical research on U.S. federal and state taxes, assist in integrating domestic acquisitions, and work closely with other tax professionals to ensure seamless execution of tax-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with quarterly and annual global tax provision under ASC 740
• Prepare and review U.S. quarterly estimated tax returns
• Gather data for U.S. consolidated tax returns and state combined unitary and separate state returns
• Conduct technical research on U.S. federal and state taxes
• Assist in integrating U.S. domestic acquisitions
• Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure seamless execution of tax-related tasks

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting and currently chartered accountant (CPA) designation
• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax accounting for US-based multinational
• Prior tax accounting and auditing experience at Big 4 firms highly desirable
• Advanced knowledge of tax software, SOX requirements, and tax audit representation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax personnel
• Self-starter with ability to work independently in fast-paced corporate environment
• Ultimate team player with strong interpersonal skills

Certifications:
• Chartered Accountant (CA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
