Job Title: Senior Redshift Engineer

**Job Description**We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Redshift Engineer to support our clients in architecting, optimizing, and scaling AWS Redshift environments.As a key member of our team, you will lead architecture review and validation for multiple AWS Redshift clusters. You will validate sizing assumptions and provide right-sizing recommendations.Additionally, you will define and implement operational excellence best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting) and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and health metrics for Redshift platforms.Moreover, you will analyze and optimize query performance (workload patterns, schema design, tuning), establish schema governance and define change management/version control processes.Lastly, you will define a clear, auditable process for deploying new tables, columns, and views.**Required Skills and Qualifications**To succeed in this role, you must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database engineering/administration, with deep hands-on expertise in AWS Redshift.Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations is also required.Strong background in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management is essential.Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals: table design (Distribution and Sort Keys), WLM tuning, vacuum operations, concurrency scaling is necessary.Ability to develop and implement operational best practices (runbooks, monitoring, alerting) is required.Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management is also necessary.Excellent communication and consultative skills are essential to clearly articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders.Experience working in client-facing roles within professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments is desired.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of strategic outcomes—not just tactical tasks—are required.
