Animal Welfare Investigator

Job Title: Animal Welfare Investigator

We are seeking a dedicated individual to conduct field investigations in our focus areas, including animal experimentation, food, clothing, entertainment, and labor. The successful candidate will use research and investigative methods to uncover environmental and human health hazards related to these issues.

• Conduct short- and long-term investigations, including covert operations, from beginning to end.
• Travel to and stay on location for various assignments, as required.
• Obtain, inspect, and keep copies of relevant documents during investigations.
• Develop and maintain trusted contacts during investigations.
• Submit daily log notes and document conditions using photography and videography.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate industries that use animals, adhering to department SOPs.
• Work with experts to assess investigation findings.
• Prepare detailed reports of findings and perform tasks for public release.
• Cooperate in police and court proceedings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Requirements:

• Investigative journalism or relevant experience preferred.
• Basic veterinary knowledge or experience a plus.
• Fluency in English and Hindi, other Indian languages a plus.
• Proven ability to conduct research and handle stress.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently.
