PETA India is looking for a dedicated professional to join our emergency response team. As an Emergency Response Assistant, you will be responsible for handling urgent animal emergencies, rescues, and cruelty cases involving animals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to emergency and general cruelty-case calls and emails
  • Arrange timely assistance for animals in need with the senior paravet and office assistants
  • Coordinate with approved animal-protection organisations and government bodies for emergency rescues
  • Maintain thorough records of calls and emails received about emergencies and cruelty cases
  • Participate in professional development training on animal handling and first aid
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution
  • Voluntary or other experience handling emergency and cruelty-case responses for animals
  • Computer proficiency
  • Fluency in Hindi and English
  • Knowledge of other local Indian languages a plus
Requirements:
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Patience and understanding when dealing with animal-protection contacts
