Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Role Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of our data pipeline architecture. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture, events/streaming based architecture/design, and internal process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Create and maintain events/streaming based architecture/design
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements
  • Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members
  • Work with data scientists to strive for greater functionality in our data systems

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have strong analytic skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets. You should also have a working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data data stores.

Additional Information:

This position requires 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role. Proficiency in either Scala or Python, expertise in Apache Spark, and experience with performance tuning and optimization are mandatory. DBT is also required.
