Procurement Leadership Opportunity

  • This is a senior leadership role that oversees the procurement function for an Air Pollution Control business, focusing on strategic sourcing and cost-effective material acquisition.
  • The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional team to develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and project timelines.
Skill Requirements:
  • Functional & Technical Skills:
    • A deep understanding of project procurement, rate contracting, and e-auctions is essential.
    • Familiarity with technical specifications of EPC/APC projects and bought-out items is also required.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), MS Excel (advanced), Power BI, and PLM platforms is necessary.
    • Knowledge of commercial terms, INCO terms, BG/LCs, and import/export documentation is also required.
  • Leadership & Managerial Competencies:
    • The ability to lead a cross-functional team and manage diverse procurement categories is crucial.
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills for high-value/volume sourcing are necessary.
    • Driving team performance management, KPI tracking, and people development through structured training and mentoring is also required.
    • Risk identification, mitigation planning, and strategic decision-making are key competencies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • On-time material availability for projects is critical.
  • Procurement cost savings vs. budget must be achieved.
  • Rate contract/E-auctioning coverage is also essential.
  • Vendor performance index (OTIF, quality, responsiveness) needs to be maintained.
  • Contract closure and claim resolution time is important.
  • Internal and external audit compliance is also required.
  • Team engagement and capability development is key.
