Electronics Component Specialist

The Electronics Component Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and availability of all electronic components used in our products.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all components meet the required standards, including IEC, BIS, and relevant smart metering standards. The specialist must also validate alternate components to reduce supply risk and optimize cost.

The Electronics Component Specialist will develop automated test setups to test various hardware devices and maintain a robust component database with lifecycle status (Active, NRND, EOL). They will also monitor obsolescence trends and initiate proactive redesign or sourcing strategies to ensure smooth migration during component phase-outs.

The specialist will work closely with procurement teams to qualify vendors and negotiate component terms. They will also audit suppliers for quality, compliance, and reliability standards and drive long-term supplier relationships to ensure business continuity.
