Senior Network Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

This position plays a crucial role in designing, engineering, implementing, and optimizing LAN/WAN/WiFi network infrastructure for the Corporate Network product, adhering to all applicable standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and Implementation
  • Manage network services and circuit capacity.
  • Plan and deliver projects, including hardware and software specification, vendor coordination, and full operational turnover.
  • Collaborate with other key teams, including Network Architects, Test and Certification, Information Security, Finance, Procurement, etc.
  • Participate in product strategy and planning.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking, with a focus on wireless, SD-WAN, and LAN infrastructure.
  • Expertise in enterprise wireless protocols, RF site surveys, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Mist AI, Cisco Wireless, or equivalent.
  • Proven hands-on experience with SD-WAN, including policy configuration, site provisioning, and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience with Fabric-based LAN architectures.
  • Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast.
  • Skilled in network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tools.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead network design and implementation projects independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

In addition to the requirements above, it would be beneficial to have:

  • Experience creating or leveraging automation, AI, and machine learning to deploy and manage networks.
  • Development and deployment of virtualized network services.
  • Understanding of cloud networking solutions and cloud interconnects.
  • Vendor experience: Cisco LAN/WAN/WiFi; HPE/Mist WiFi; Palo Alto Networks FW and SDWA NetScout, Thousand Eyes, NetMRI, ServiceNow, Oracle SBCs and VOIP.
  • Exposure to and familiarization with CCaaS environments to include 14IP, CXOne and others.

Education and Certifications

A relevant undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related technical field is required.
