About the Role

The Analyst will be supporting the Multifamily Capital Prescreening and Underwriting group, delivering products to the reviewer/onshore team according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and process property financial statements and loan-related documents (e.g., rent rolls, historical operating statements, appraisal reports, collections, and budgets)
  • Monitor and analyze property performance based on tenant details, property cash flows, and provide recommendations to the Prescreening/Underwriting team
  • Analyze and validate loan documents, sharing inconsistencies with Reviewer/onshore as per agreed procedures
  • Work on multiple processes, being flexible to complete tasks beyond work timelines
  • Review associate deals, providing timely feedback for team members
  • Closely collaborate with Risk partners to avoid/mitigate process loopholes and adhere to company policies
  • Work closely with onshore partners to resolve escalations ASAP
  • Prepare Performance Reports for team members and weekly/monthly reports for onshore partners
  • Groom new team members
  • Coordinate efforts with different departments in Commercial Real Estate Underwriting to service clients
  • Upload Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae closed loan documents in respective websites
  • Receive open feedback from others post-learning experience implementation
Essential Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of overall experience in Multifamily Capital Prescreening and Pre-underwriting business
  • 4+ years of underwriting mortgage experience in conventional & FHA products
  • Strong knowledge of Government Sponsored Entities (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac) and their underwriting procedures
  • Strong Knowledge in Commercial Real Estate domain
  • Strong knowledge in 3rd party documents (Appraisal, PCR, ESA, Flood Determination)
  • Strong MS Excel, PPT, Visio skills are mandatory
  • Able to accurately process high volumes of work within established deadlines
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team to meet targets
  • Excellent English comprehension and written communication skills
  • Flexibility towards work on different processes/assignments
