We're expanding our presence in India through a Group Engineering Competence Centre (ECC), reinforcing our position as a leader in all markets. This ECC will serve as a hub for hardware, software, and systems engineering capabilities, catering to both civil and defense sectors.
About the Role
As a member of our Testability and Test Means (TMT) Department team within the Thales AVS/FLX Aeronautical Equipment and Techniques competence center, you'll contribute to the development of Test Systems used in product departments, production teams, and industrial competence centers.
Key Responsibilities
- You'll develop Test Systems for our customers, ensuring seamless integration with product departments, production, and support teams.
- You'll manage test bench suppliers by organizing activities, planning, sequencing, technical progress, priority management, budget management, technical facts, and reporting.
- You'll design the architecture of test resources, implementing innovative technical solutions at the best level.
- You'll guarantee the validation of developed Systems and technical documentary quality of delivered Test Systems.
- You'll challenge bench architectures, developing common building blocks with other sites when relevant.
- You'll ensure compliance with company quality standards for Test System development.
- Your multidisciplinary SYSTEM and HW profile will enable you to develop testing resources like automatic benches, depending on project requirements.
- You'll listen to customer needs and demonstrate a strong spirit of service.
- You'll collaborate with Product Departments, Production Lines, Maintenance Department, and others.
- You'll be a driving force for innovation and suggestions for improvement, addressing operational staff issues with a team spirit.
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical engineering, with 12-16 years of relevant experience. Higher qualifications like post-graduation and PhD are desirable, along with working experience in Aerospace/Avionics/Defense products development.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in test system development, electronics/embedded computing.
- Knowledge of multidisciplinary architecture SYSTEM, HW.
- Ability to technically manage suppliers, ensuring progress and critical evaluation of their work quality.
Preferred Skills
- Profile: Multidisciplinary Hardware Engineer Training.
- Hardware skills: Analog, digital electronics, VHDL.
- Leadership ability, autonomy, analytical skills, proposal strength, innovation, international cooperation, and teamwork.
