Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and maintain interactive business intelligence dashboards using Power BI.
  • Create and optimize data models, including star/snowflake schemas, to facilitate efficient querying and analysis.
  • Develop complex DAX calculations and KPIs to drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Integrate data from various sources, such as SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint and APIs, to provide a comprehensive view of the business.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
  • Perform data validation and troubleshooting to ensure accuracy, performance and reliability.
  • Implement row-level security and user-based data access strategies to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Provide expertise on Power BI governance, best practices and self-service analytics models to promote effective usage and adoption.
  • Maintain data refresh schedules and monitor report performance to optimize user experience.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts and business users, to deliver high-quality results.
Qualifications:
  • At least 12 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
  • Advanced DAX and data modeling skills, with a strong focus on creating scalable and performant data architectures.
  • Proficiency in Power Query/M Language, with the ability to extract, transform and load data efficiently.
  • Strong dashboard and visualization design skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively through intuitive and engaging visualizations.
  • Knowledge of Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server, with experience in deploying and managing reports in these environments.
  • Experience with row-level security and gateway configurations, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with Power BI REST API and embedding techniques, with the ability to integrate Power BI with custom applications and services.
  • Proficient in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views and functions, with a strong understanding of database design principles.
  • Experience with large datasets and performance tuning, with the ability to optimize query performance and minimize latency.
