Instrumentation Specialist Role

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Specialist to join our team. As an Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing, assigning and managing maintenance strategies for field instrumentation equipment.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of asset reliability principles and be able to develop and assign appropriate equipment strategy. They will also be responsible for overseeing equipment strategy assignment, collaborating with team members, and ensuring project success.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering activities covering all key areas of instrumentation technology including field instruments, control and shutdown valves, analyzer, and control systems.
  • Review and update equipment maintenance strategy for instrumentation (e.g. Transmitters, control valves, flow meters, analyzers)
  • Collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure alignment of maintenance strategies with operational priorities.
  • Understanding of asset criticality analysis and asset strategy management.
  • Understanding of Preventive, Predictive, Condition monitoring tasks with respect to assets.
  • Standardize instrumentation maintenance procedure and test intervals across similar asset classes.
  • Knowledge of hazardous area classification, international instrumentation standards.
