Job Title: Basis Team Lead

 

Overview of the Role:

The organization is seeking a highly experienced and skilled SAP Basis Team Lead to oversee service delivery across multiple customers.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead application monitoring & support services for global customers across SAP environments, including ECC 6.0, S/4HANA, CRM, SCM, BW/4HANA.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for customers in case of any issues or challenges from a technical delivery perspective.
  • Handle complex and difficult customer discussions and interactions, being aware of the escalation process in service execution.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all work items, aligned to defined SLAs, and assure process adherence and compliance by the team.
  • Promote Service Performance Reports (monthly), Issue Tracker & Open Items (weekly), and Continuous Improvement Reports (monthly) for customers.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with customers and SAP internal teams to drive agile resolution of critical issues.
  • Foster a sound understanding of SAP Cloud ALM, Focused Run (FRUN), and ITSM ticketing tools to manage incidents and service delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes or service delivery and driving adoption of AI-based automation.
  • Provide customer pulse, publish SLA & KPI reports, and provide performance insights to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Guide or mentor the delivery team from a technical basis perspective – Basis, Security, and Data Growth areas.
  • Manage the team across shifts, ensuring seamless handovers without any process breakdowns.
  • Promptly highlight identified risks for service delivery and governance along with risk response strategies.
