Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cockpit Engineering Specialist to lead the development and integration of Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish and run engineering sub-system meetings to ensure cross-functional representation and input.
  • Ensure design maturity progression from concept to Engineering Sign-Off and design gateways.
  • Maintain teamwork plans aligned to vehicle programs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of systems, sub-systems, and components.
  • Define engineering targets to meet function, quality, and attribute requirements.
  • Develop and maintain design validation plans, including in-house and supplier testing.
  • Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities, including DFMEA and quality history reviews.
  • Manage suppliers to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle program timing and attribute targets.
  • Support purchasing teams in sourcing and RFQ activities.
  • Support vehicles launch and pre-production builds.
  • Apply APQP to manage system/component delivery.
  • Deliver PSW planning from project start to sign off.
  • Follow and deliver company goals and strategies.
  • Meet DVA, Optical, and Perceived Quality targets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical or production engineering.
  • Proven project management capability.
  • Extensive experience in right-first-time development and integration of Cockpit Console commodities and Interior Trims.
  • Detailed engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • PC literacy in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Significant experience in use of engineering tools, including FMEA, Agile, or Scrum.
Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production/Automotive Engineering is required.
