Job Title: Software Engineering Director

About This Role:

This leadership position oversees software engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining scalable data platforms and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and data platforms, as well as experience leading multiple teams of software engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multiple teams of software engineers to deliver software solutions that meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineering leaders to define and execute the technical roadmap
  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures that leverage scalability and flexibility
  • Drive the architecture and development of SDKs, APIs, and microservices for seamless integration and interoperability
  • Ensure security best practices and compliance requirements are met
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years leading engineering teams
  • Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Apache Spark, and Apache Airflow
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline frameworks, metadata management, and data governance controls
