The Role

We are seeking an accomplished Strategic Financial Analyst - Asset Class Specialist to join our Data Team. As a key member, you will oversee data processing for the entire business, encompassing client data, market data, third-party data, and external system integrations.

Your mission will involve working on diverse projects, including:

  • Mapping custodian position, valuation, and transaction data to our proprietary schema, ensuring accuracy and alignment with system requirements.
  • Performing peer reviews of mapping specifications produced by analysts, providing constructive feedback to maintain data quality.
  • Handling errors by reviewing, interpreting, escalating, and resolving exceptions in various mapping and system processes.
  • Migrating schemas from internal systems to third-party integrated systems, including risk systems, open banking providers, and other platforms.
  • Onboarding historical structured and unstructured data, ensuring accuracy and proper integration into our systems.
  • Creating specifications for data validation algorithms to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for business-critical processes, ensuring they are managed effectively and reliably.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Fluent English and strong communication skills, enabling clear and effective collaboration.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in finance, statistics, mathematics applied to finance, or an equivalent field; FRM or CFA certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise and readiness to contribute.
  • Strong knowledge of financial datasets and financial instruments, including derivatives.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel, with at least an intermediate level of expertise.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in your work.
  • Eagerness to thrive in a dynamic start-up environment, bringing energy and adaptability to the team.
  • A highly driven self-starter, motivated to take initiative and deliver results independently.
Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000, depending on location and experience.
