Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the backend systems that power our applications.

Job Description

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing scalable and efficient backend systems using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to: Java, Python, and Go.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA to ensure alignment and deliver high-quality products.
  • Writing clean, modular, and well-documented code that meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability.
  • Participating in code reviews, providing feedback and guidance to junior engineers, and contributing to the development of best practices and standards within the team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in software engineering, with 8+ years of experience in designing and implementing complex backend systems.
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, Python, and Go.
  • Experience working with big data systems, including Apache Spark and Hive.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
