The Job Overview:

This is a highly specialized role for a Senior Software Engineer who will lead the development of complex software engineering assignments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, developing, and testing applications and programs to support products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project concepts, objectives, specifications, and resource needs.
  • Use current programming languages and technologies to provide creative, thorough, and practical solutions to technical problems.
  • Design, develop, and test software programs following established quality standards and internal engineering procedures.
  • Complete detailed software design specifications, storyboards, and interface specifications.
  • Support product development from conception to delivery, including problem-solving, defect maintenance, and customer service support.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline. A minimum of six years' experience in software development is required, with proficiency in C#, .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Service Broker, PowerShell, and other relevant technologies.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with the software development life cycle.
  • Proficient in log4net, Entity Framework, MS Build, RESTful APIs, NUnit, NMock3, and other tools.
  • Strong understanding of web services, HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL, REST, SOAP, XML, and JSON.
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, and Bootstrap framework.
  • Expertise in developing performance-critical transaction processing applications.
  • Knowledge of asynchronous messaging and service-oriented architecture.
  • Good to have hands-on experience with cloud computing, preferably on Azure.
