Job Title:

Senior Fund Accountant - Performance and Reporting Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate fund accounting, NAV calculations, performance analysis, and reporting across various fund types, including Hedge Funds and Fund of Funds.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accurate Fund Accounting: Reconcile fund cash, positions, and securities to third-party data sources.
  • NAV Calculations: Perform general ledger processing and post accounting entries.
  • Performance Analysis: Price fund portfolios and manage all fund transactions, including corporate actions, equities, fixed income, and derivatives.
  • Fund Reporting: Calculate fund NAVs including incentive and management fee allocations.
  • Daily, Monthly, Quarterly Analysis: Analyze fund performance on a daily, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Year-End Financial Statements: Prepare year-end financial statements for audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with onshore and offshore fund counterparties to resolve issues.
  • Adherence to Policy: Adhere strictly to internal policies, timesheet protocols, and ethical conduct.
  • Process Improvements: Support process improvements and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in fund accounting or financial statement preparation.
  • Investment Products: Experience with various investment products: equities, fixed income, futures, and derivatives.
  • Fund Structures: Familiarity with Stand-Alone, Master-Feeder, and Fund of Fund structures.
  • Technical Skills: Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Client-Facing: Prior client-facing experience with strong problem-solving abilities.
