Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fuel System Designer to lead the development of innovative fuel system components for hybrid and electric vehicles. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating fuel system components, including pipes, tanks, pumps, valves, and other critical subsystems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in design tools such as 3DX. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including CAD engineers, lead engineers, SMEs, and suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and validate fuel system components, ensuring they meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design issues and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Vehicle Installation and Compliance: Work with vehicle installation teams to ensure fuel system components meet powertrain functionality requirements.
  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and technical support.
  • Program Delivery: Utilize project management tools such as PCDS and eAPQP to deliver high-quality projects on time.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare and present technical documents and reports to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Design and Development Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in fuel system component design and development.
  • Vehicle Installation Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle installation and powertrain requirements.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
