Sustainable Energy Finance Specialist

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our climate finance team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial modelling, investment structuring, and market research within the renewable energy sector.

The role requires strong technical capabilities, a nuanced understanding of climate-linked financing mechanisms, and hands-on experience in raising climate finance through global platforms such as GCF, GEF, and similar climate accelerators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine financial models for climate projects including scenario analysis and risk-return assessments
  • Translate policy, market, and technical inputs into investor-ready financial forecasts and maintain decision-support tools.
  • Conduct financial due diligence and evaluate project feasibility and evaluate capital structuring options including equity, debt, blended finance, guarantees, hedging and other structures
  • Prepare investment memos, term sheets, business cases, financing operations manuals and presentations for investors and funding partners
  • Execute required market research across eMobility, green hydrogen, RE integration, and other low-carbon infrastructure sectors
  • Analyze pricing, incentives, and regulatory developments affecting climate-aligned investments, and monitor global climate finance mechanisms
  • Contribute to climate finance strategy development and support fundraising efforts for platforms like GCF, GEF and others
  • Conduct policy analysis to identify gaps in climate finance and recommend strategies aligned with evolving frameworks
  • Engage with stakeholders including investors, development finance institutions (DFIs), and government agencies and prepare data-driven reports for internal and external use
