Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Interior Design Project Manager to join our team at ZEN MODULAR SYSTEMS INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Coimbatore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing space planning, interior design projects, managing construction drawings, and coordinating furniture installations on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules for furniture production.
- Review project plans and specifications, providing feedback on design, scheduling, and cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with estimators to prepare project budgets.
- Prepare general conditions budgets.
- Assist in setting up job site offices and equipment requirements.
- Expedite shop drawings and approvals.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules on a weekly basis.
- Lead site meetings, preparing issue minutes and discussing relevant topics.
- Inform consultants and clients of errors, discrepancies, or omissions in design drawings.
- Expedite change order costs and maintain current CO logs.
- Ensure completion of independent testing and inspections as required.
- Issue monthly progress draws and invoices to consultants and clients, including final holdbacks.
- Maintain good production standards and quality control.
- Control and monitor labor, material, and equipment expenses.
- Prepare monthly cost forecasting summaries.
- Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists.
- Ensure accuracy in pre-project estimation and costing, considering checklists, negotiation feedback, and SM feedback.
- Ensure profitability through rate analysis.
- Negotiate project fees based on set budgets and materials.
Requirements
- Strong space planning and interior design skills.
- Knowledge of BOQ, billing, reconciliation, and estimating quantities for interior scope of works.
- Project management expertise.
- Experience in creating construction drawings.
- Familiarity with furniture design and installations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
