Academic Support Specialist

As an academic support specialist, you will work with LINC Education to provide academic guidance and delivery responsibilities for undergraduate students studying at premier universities. You will be responsible for guiding students in learning skills, delivering lectures, and assessing student work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter guidance to groups of 25-30 students
  • Support students in learning skills like academic writing, research, and time management
  • Deliver weekly lectures for a minimum of two hours per session
  • Guide students on relevant reference material
  • Assess student work with feedback
  • Respond to student queries via email within a six-hour window
Requirements:
  • A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, ICT Management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in teaching programming courses, especially cloud technologies, big data, or data engineering courses
  • 2+ years of corporate experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data tools (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Cloud certifications desirable (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Data Engineer)
  • Empathetic and outgoing personality willing to work closely with people from diverse cultures
  • Proficient in English language; excellent oral and written communication
  • A working laptop and access to high-speed internet connection
