Business Development Associate Job Description

As a Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the business development team to drive growth and expansion across various services including carbon advisory, renewable energy, sustainability, and NBS projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledgebase of carbon markets through desk-based research, categorizing reports, documents, policies, and analysis at local and national levels.
  • Identify and research new business opportunities, including emerging markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and services or innovative ways to reach existing markets.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key contacts in organizations to generate leads through regular follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop sales pitches for prospective clients and participate in presentations of business ideas.
  • Ensure seamless workflow coordination with other departments and expedite processes through established best practices.
  • Develop client contracts tailored to company size and service requirements.
  • Support the reporting manager in tracking and maintaining generated leads, providing relevant data for client-specific presentations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of carbon markets, renewable energy, and sustainability principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite applications.
