Job Summary:

We seek an experienced professional to assume a key role in our organization.

This position is crucial for the success of our operations, supporting sleep studies and DME services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in multitasking and adaptable to different scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for various medical procedures.
  • Obtain prior authorizations efficiently and accurately.
  • Explain co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance to patients.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with multiple insurance plans including HMO and PPO.
  • Document and track authorizations in electronic medical record systems and Excel.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and insurance companies.
  • Support front office and billing teams when needed.
  • Handle high call volumes with excellent phone etiquette and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical insurance verification and authorization.
  • Strong knowledge of co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, and insurance plan types.
  • Familiarity with sleep studies and DME services is preferred but not required.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize duties, and adjust roles as necessary.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
