About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to lead our database migration efforts. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.

The DBA Lead will be responsible for leading end-to-end migration lifecycle across assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization. This includes defining and driving migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices for zero/near-zero downtime and high availability.

  • Lead end-to-end migration lifecycle across assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices for zero/near-zero downtime and high availability.
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across multiple platforms, including Data Center-to-Data Center, AWS-to-AWS, Azure-to-Azure, Oracle Exadata, and Oracle ExaCC environments.
  • Perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, proactive alerting, migration tracking, and validation.
Must-Have Skills
  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud, Exadata, and ExaCC environments.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle ExaCC implementation and management.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Knowledge of GoldenGate for real-time replication.
  • Familiarity with Terraform/Ansible for infrastructure-as-code-based DB provisioning.
