Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Lead Payments Migration Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience to spearhead the bank's critical payments platform transition. Your primary responsibility will be to orchestrate the complex migration from Oracle Flexcube 11.2 to Oracle Banking Payments (OBP) 14.7. This contract role demands strong technical leadership, deep domain expertise in banking payment systems, and exceptional coordination across business, technology, and vendor teams to ensure a seamless, high-fidelity data migration and a robust go-live.

Key Responsibilities :

- Migration Strategy & Orchestration : Design and execute the end-to-end technical strategy for migrating payment services from Oracle Flexcube 11.2 to Oracle Banking Payments (OBP) 14.7, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.

- Technical Planning & Execution : Develop and meticulously maintain technical project timelines, detailed migration playbooks, and robust contingency plans, incorporating rollback strategies and performance benchmarks.

- Environment & Configuration Management : Supervise and technically lead all stages of environment setup (Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, Prod), including :

- OBP 14.7 configuration and parameterization.

- Interface validation for all upstream and downstream systems.

- Data migration dry-run execution and reconciliation.

- Ensuring environments are fully configured, data-masked where necessary, and thoroughly validated for readiness before each phase.

- Payments Workflow Functional Lead : Act as the technical and functional lead for payment workflows, ensuring intricate business processes are accurately mapped, technically configured, and successfully migrated into OBP 14.7.

- Technical Collaboration & Requirements : Collaborate extensively with technical architects, business users, operations, and compliance teams to translate complex business requirements into precise technical specifications and conduct in-depth solution walkthroughs.

- Vendor Technical Liaison : Serve as the primary technical liaison with Oracle and Profinch implementation partners, rigorously tracking their technical deliverables, managing complex issue logs, and ensuring adherence to technical SLAs.

- Performance & Scalability : Advise on and ensure the scalability, performance, and resilience of the OBP 14.7 solution post-migration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience :

- 8 to 10 years of hands-on technical experience in banking payment platforms and their migrations.

- Deep, hands-on expertise with Oracle Banking Products, specifically Oracle Flexcube 11.2 and Oracle Banking Payments (OBP) 14.7.

- Proficiency in payments domain standards : In-depth knowledge of payment streams (e.g., SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS) and associated message formats (e.g., ISO 20022).

- Technical Migration Experience : Proven experience in managing and executing complex data and system migrations between core banking or payments platforms.

- Database Proficiency : Strong command of SQL and experience with Oracle databases, including schema understanding, query optimization, and data manipulation for migration purposes.

- Integration Technologies : Hands-on experience with various integration technologies and protocols (e.g., APIs, MQ, Web Services, SFTP) used within banking systems.

- Configuration & Customization : Experience with the configuration, parameterization, and potential technical customization within Oracle Flexcube and OBP.

- Testing Methodologies : Strong understanding of testing methodologies for large-scale financial system migrations, including UAT, SIT, performance testing, and regression testing.

- Environment Management : Expertise in managing and preparing various technical environments (Dev, SIT, UAT, Pre-Prod, Prod) for a large-scale system migration.

- Problem-Solving & Debugging : Excellent technical problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, capable of dissecting complex system issues during migration and go-live.

- Communication : Ability to communicate complex technical details clearly and concisely with both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders.

- Banking Business Processes : In-depth technical knowledge of banking business processes related to payments, including processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliation.
