Quality Assurance Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our software products.

  • Own the complete quality ownership of the system under test.
  • Design and develop high-quality test cases that help improve the overall quality of the system.
  • Collaborate with the development team to design good test cases, review their work, and provide feedback.
  • Develop test frameworks for different layers of the application.
  • Add automated tests on web services, database, and UI layer.
  • Be the gatekeeper on the quality of the product.
  • Define, write, and execute non-functional tests, and analyze results.
  • Debug issues and help developers design the best software product.
  • Drive quality metrics on the system under test, and be responsible for the quality of the system.
  • Analyze tests, progress of tests, and report to management on the quality of the system on a day-to-day basis.
  • Improve test case designs, negative tests, repeatability tests, data validation, impact and risk-based testing.
  • Able to work on agile methodologies and deliver high-quality products without compromising on time.

Who we are looking for:

  • BE/BTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development/testing.
  • 2+ years of experience testing high-scale applications with distributed architecture.
  • Excellent programming skills, and ability to debug issues at the code level.
  • Experience in negative testing.
  • Provide out-of-box solutions to deliver quality in fast-paced development organizations.
  • Strong understanding of cloud, databases, and performance trade-offs.
  • Go-getter attitude, capable of pursuing tough engineering challenges to final solutions.
  • Lean/Agile attitude.
  • Proactive and results-oriented.
  • Team player/builder, possess a can-do attitude.
  • Experience in providing estimates, plans, and committed to deliverables.
